Meet our Beneteau Oceanis 500

Wirghtsville Beach, NC, USA

Our boat is a 1991 Beneteau Oceanis 500. She began her life as a Moorings Charter yacht in the Caribbean. Over the years she has changed hands several times. Her last major refit was somewhere between 2005 and 2013. During that time she was repowered with a Volvo Penta D2-75 and had a Raymarine electronics package installed.

Follow along as we modernize her and outfit her to become a live-aboard sailing yacht.

Summer 2022 Update

We recently completed the yard work and sailed her from New York to Charleston, SC.

Here in Charleston, we are completing the refit in preparation to sail further south. While we are both working full-time, we are tackling the projects one weekend at a time.
